Blooper 1. 11.30 in the night..just finished chatting with some of the best people in my life...lazily looking into some technical papers over the laptop screen with earphones from my mp3 player plugged into my ears..holy crap I ve been with this pdf for over an hour..it absolutely made no sense..Come on Harini u can do it u can do it...Meanwhile I heard a faint music "Mundhinam paarthene" wow superb song..but why is the volume so low..let me increase it..I started pressing the volume button in the laptop..No effect..Damn Dell..I opened the volume control and checked it was in full..still the music was barely heard..Damn Damn Damn..whats wrong with this stupid system..Argggggggggggghhhhhhh its not the computer system its my nervous systems at stake!!! I was plugged to the mp3 and not to the LAPTOP..Oink Oink Oink.......Blurp Blurp....
Blooper 2. I ve got so used to looking at the digital screen that things like paper, pen etc are becoming obsolete..But one fine day I was forced to use a paper and pencil to make a list of some variables I needed to consider in a project design...I made a table sort of thingy with my pathetic writing and even more poorer drawing skills..On review I realised that I dint need one of the rows..So I erased them with an eraser..And then I was waiting for the other rows in the paper to shift upwards the way it gets done in a database or excel sheet..HEIGHTS PEOPLE...
Blooper 3. On a tired wednesday evening, I had to rush to the copy room of my Teaching assistant office to make some copies of some lab exercise..It was a humble HP copier machine..I fed the papers in, put my original in the scanner and started hitting furiously on the small display there..Nothing happened..I started poking at it with more frustration...Come on AM getting LATE!! It took me a while to realize that it wasnt a touch screen but an ordinary display and the buttons were right beside....Dum dumdudmdumd DUMB...Went out cursing "When will technology grow!!!" :P :P :P
Blooper 4 : Never underestimate the pennywise foolishness of a PhD student..Am one of those techno-lovers and usually keep myself abreast with it..Never wanted to be left behind in the race..And computers and laptops are indispensible part of my life..Both my career and personal life are totally dependent on it..I spend time on it more than I spend with myself..So handeling it is an involuntary action like eating sleeping etc..Recently my laptop crashed and refused to even start up..Had to format everything..Lost many important things..Was unable to recover them...I was still under that shock..I went to the office to switch on my office comp..OMG it wasnt switching on either..Nothing was working..God..I started to panic..this had most of my work..I started screaming like a mad mad woman..Like those female side kicks in tamil movies who cry when a super hero of the village dies or some unforseen incident has happened..My labmate got worried and rushed in to see if I was having a fits or something..It took me a whole five minutes after all the screaming to come to the senses that the computers plug was out of the socket..Gagagagagagagagagaggaga.....Blurp.....

This the reason why people have words like "Geek" and "Nerd" :P
hahahaha...that table one took d cake...seriously heights!!!
@Ashis well u neednt be a geek or nerd..its just become the mundane routine of life..
@Mayank : I know..its all personally done by yours truly!!
:)) Makes a lot of sense. I always wonder why we don't have a search function to find something we've lost.
I can't imagine WRITING a story these days. The other day, I wanted to write something in Tamil and guess what I did? I wrote everything down in English and waited for the transliteration software to convert everything to Tamil letters.
And once I was searching for the touchpad on the PC. I forgot we've got something called a mouse.
And the other day, I really went to heights, trying to remember where I stored some file, and then I remembered that it wasn't a computer screen I was staring at, but a TV!
So, all these things happen all the time with me, so I understand your feelings. :D
